UF Celebrates New Students with Arch Ceremony
University of Findlay’s annual New Student Arch Ceremony was held on Friday, Aug. 13. The ceremony is a long-standing tradition in which the incoming class is welcomed to the University of Findlay and embark on a new journey in continuing their education.
Nearly 720 new students were officially welcomed to campus as they participated in this year’s ceremony by marching through the Griffith Memorial Arch. This signifies the beginning of the next chapter in their academic careers at UF. In keeping with tradition, students don’t walk back through the arch until they graduate and head back out into the world.
The Arch Ceremony was live-streamed on the University’s Facebook page. A professional photographer was also in attendance so this big moment could be captured and saved. Pictures are available for download in the University’s Flickr album.
