University of Findlay Launches Oiler Day One

University of Findlay announces Oiler Day One, a new course material delivery program that provides students access to their required course materials with the cost of tuition. Oiler Day One comes through the partnership with Barnes & Noble College (BNC), providing students with all their required course materials in a convenient package before the first day of class. The program will begin with the Fall 2023 term.
With the new program, students will register for class, receive an email instructing them to review their courses and choose how they would like to receive their materials (physical books vs. digital), pick-up/receive their materials before classes begin, and then return their materials once courses are over. During their time with their books, students are allowed to highlight pages and make notes directly in their books. The only thing that is not covered is water damage. Should students want to keep their books at the end of the semester, they will be able to purchase their rented textbook(s) at a reduced price.
UF’s Oiler Day One fully supports academic freedom and faculty choice. Faculty members will be able to choose the materials that are best suited for their classes, regardless of publisher or format.
Students are automatically enrolled in the Oiler Day One program, and there is no additional cost (included in tuition). For more information on the program, including a list of frequently asked questions, visit Oiler Day One online.
