Study Abroad Scholarships Available

University of Findlay students who are planning on studying abroad are welcome to apply for scholarships being offered with money raised from the September Run the World 5K. Any student who will be participating in an overseas program can apply.
Available are four $1,500 scholarships, two $1,000 scholarships and two $750 scholarships.
To apply, students can email Rachel Gerber at gerber@findlay.edu for an application. Applications will be evaluated on both merit and financial need. The application deadline is Friday, Jan. 13, 2017.
According to Gerber, assistant director of international education, international programs can cost anywhere from $1,600 to $18,000, but the benefits are substantial. Research from sources such as Time magazine indicates that international experiences make students more creative, better problem solvers, better able to communicate with other cultures, and better able to respond in diverse situations.
